Thoroughbred® released version 8.8.0 in September 2013. Version 8.8.0 has enhancements, new features and upgrades that support the newest operating systems. 8.8.0 is the only Thoroughbred Environment™ tested and compatible for Windows 8 and Server 2012. It is compatible from XP to Windows 8, and Server 2008 and 2012. 8.8.0 also supports the newest kernels of Linux, UNIX and OS X, 32 and 64-bit operating systems.

When upgrading systems to the 8.8.0 Thoroughbred Environment, OPENworkshop® or T-WEB™ there may be upgrades of other Thoroughbred products required as well. These can include: TbredComm™, VIP, ODBC, MS SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle DataServers, and others. It is best to check with your Thoroughbred representative as to the compatible upgrade path.
